Those lucha-libre mask mugs you hand-painted are beautiful. Do you feel that they are giving you an unfair advantage in this contest?
No, and they are called jarritos!
Have you ever broken the law?
Well . . . Not really but you always do something just to feel the adrenaline…
What would be the worst thing for the government to make illegal?
It would be Mezcal or any spirit for that matter – they shouldn’t ever take that away from us.
What was your favorite TV show when growing up?
Snoopy and the Justice League.
Which is your favorite? Sunora Bacanora Blanco, Sunora Cream De Bacanora Mocha, or Sunora Cream De Bacanora Pineapple Colada?
The Sunora Mocha and Sunora Bacanora Blanco are amazing actually all 3 are great! I really love the idea you can make a fantastic cocktails with either one.
Cocktail Name: Mi Tierra Yaqui
Created by Original Outlaw Bartender Cesar Cardona for The Inaugural Sunora Bacanora Mixology Contest 2018 – The Mi Tierra Yaqui Cocktail won second place, and it a super refreshing cocktail to be enjoyed day or night. The Mi Tierra Yaqui cocktail serves as a tribute to the Yaqui Indian people who inhabit the valley of the Río Yaqui in the Mexican state of Sonora.
- 1½ oz. Sunora Bacanora Blanco
- ¾ oz. lime juice
- 1 oz. Mango Guava Jam syrup
- ½ oz. Jicama Juice
- ½ oz. Prickly Pear Juice
- 2-3 Dashes of Laphroaig
- Sweet / Spicy Mango Jicama Lime Slices
- Double Old Fashioned
Add all ingredients together in a tin except Laphroaig. Shake vigorously, pour into the glass with big ice cube. Sweet / Spicy salt on the glass, add 2-3 dashes of Laphroaig.
